The company also offers meat boxes and wax-coated boxes for the agricultural industry. Packaging Corporation sells its products through direct sales and marketing organization. The company was founded in 1867 and is headquartered in Lake Forest, Illinois.

  Boxes are still in big demand. This Lake Forest, IL containerboard manufacturer is expected to grow earnings by 27% a year. Fourteen analyst upgrades lifted 2014 estimates from $4.24 to $4.72 per share. Its P/E is 13.2, its PEG 0.48.

  Shares of MeadWestvaco have jumped 4.6% to $37.29 today at 3:36 p.m. Other paper packaging companies, however, aren’t getting a boost from the news or from Merrill’s upgrade. Shares of Rock-Tenn (RKT) have dipped 0.1% to $100.34, International Paper (IP) has ticked up 0.1% to $48.74and Packaging Corp. of America (PKG) is little changed at $65.40.
